Apple Tree Montessori School is proud to support local events and charities in the communities we live in. A key initiative of our school, we make every effort to help those less fortunate, and putting the lessons of charity and community spirit into action.
2011 - 2012
ETA Vaughan Shelter
With the support of the children and parents of Apple Tree Montessori School, we are very proud to share that we raised enough in donations to provide for 3 families at ETA Vaughan Shelter, a local community charity that provides much needed support to mothers and children looking for a place of safety and refuge.
Maple Santa Fest
Mother Goose and her group of Nursery Rhyme characters made a special appearance this year at Santa Fest. A jolly thank you to the staff for your enthusiasm and hard work in helping make our first entry into Santa Fest a wonderful experience for all.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
We could not do it without you!!! To the families of Apple Tree Montessori School, thank you for your never ending contribution and support in donating over 400 kg of food for our local food bank. A remarkable accomplishment made even more special by your kindness and generosity in giving back to the communities we live in.
2010 - 2011
The Giving Tree
With the generosity of the Apple Tree Montessori community, our "Giving Tree" was the most wonderful in the land. The gift of warm hats, scarves and mittens from our families here at ATMS helped both decorate our tree and decorate the heads and hands of many families in our community, with the donation we provided to our local charities here in Vaughan. A very heartfelt thank you!
Santa Fest
Another wonderful event this year with great success. While the weather did not co-operate for most of the day, it was great to see a huge turn out. Thank you to all children, parents and staff for your support in helping make the day a great success.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
To help those less fortunate is an important life lesson all children can learn. With the help of our parents, the community of Apple Tree Montessori has gathered over 80 kilograms of food to share with our local food banks for those who need it most. Thank you to the children and to the parents of Apple Tree Montessori School for your support.
Project Love
A great big thank you to the all the families of Apple Tree Montessori School who rallied together to help the children of Haiti. Through the generosity of our family community, we have raised enough funds to provide 40 student & 5 teacher resource kits, giving the children of Haiti a chance to "pick up and start again".
Holiday Toy Drive
A huge thank you to all our parents for their generous donations in support of those in need in our community. Apple Tree Montessori School's first annual toy drive was a great success.
